Great Lent Vespers in Kitchener
On Saturday March 29th, on the eve of the fourth Sunday of Great Lent, the priests of Holy Trinity Church in Kitchener and Saint Sava Church in London organized a parish lenten youth retreat.
Fr. Goran Gojkovic served Vespers while Fr. Jovan Marjanac and Fr. Dusko Markovic sang responses. At the conclusion of the service, all were annointed with oil from the vigil lamp above the relics of Saint John of Shanghai.
The generous sisters of the ladies auxiliary of Holy Trinity Church cooked a delicious lenten meal while all participants donated non-perishable food items for the annual parish food drive to benefit The Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
The priests engaged with the youth in several hours of dialogue on various spiritual topics.
