Celebration of Church Choir Slava in London

Article by Fr. Dusko Markovic

The Choir of the Saint Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in London celebrated its patron saint, Saint Peter of Cetinje, on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

In the full Saint Sava Church, with joyful singing and the prayerful participation of the faithful, the feast of Saint Peter of Cetinje, the choir’s protector, was celebrated. Following the choir, the faithful praised the Risen Lord and gave thanks for all His gifts, especially for the gift of unity that made this gathering even more special.

The godmother of this year’s celebration was our dear sister Dragana Todorovic, who handed a piece of the Slava bread to the future godmother, Sanja Koroman. We congratulate the godparents and thank them for the wonderful refreshments they prepared with all the members of our choir.

Our choristers, through their singing, adorn the Divine Liturgies and thus make a special contribution to the spiritual life of our community. Thanks to their devotion and dedication, other holy services are now celebrated more frequently in our church, to the joy and spiritual benefit of all the faithful.

May the Lord strengthen them and grant them perseverance in their good work of serving God and fellow faithful.
