On Sunday, October 25, 2026, the Saint Nicholas–Queen Marija Circle of Serbian Sisters solemnly celebrated their Slava of Saint Petka at the Saint Nicholas Cathedral in Hamilton.
The church hall was filled with parishioners and friends who gathered to celebrate this special day together with this year's godmother, Nena Dabic, in the spirit of faith, unity and the preservation of precious traditions. Dragana Sormaz accepted the honour of being the godmother of the Slava for next year.
The celebration was enhanced by the presence of: the president of the Diocesan Circle of Serbian Sisters Daliborka Pjevac, the president of the Ravna Gora Circle of Serbian Sisters from Winona Kris Trifunovic, as well as Member of Parliament Ned Kuruc.
May Saint Petka protect and bless with her prayers the hardworking sisters who prepared the feast with much love and effort, the members of the church choir who enriched the celebration with their wonderful singing, and the entire Hamilton parish community.
Happy Slava! To many more years!
