Slava of Saint Sava Celebrated in Lakeshore
Yesterday, the first Serbian Archbishop and enlightener of our people Saint Sava was solemnly, prayerfully and liturgically celebrated at the Saint Petka Church in Lakeshore. The godparents for this year's celebration were Simona Puskar and Nikola Malic.
After the Holy Liturgy, which was officiated by Fr. Marko Dimic and Fr. Miroljub Todorovic, the gathered faithful had the opportunity to enjoy a rich and inspiring Saint Sava program performed by the children of the church school. This year's program was prepared with great care and love by the Serbian language teacher Rada Puskar.
At the end of the program, all the children, as well as all the teachers, received commemorative gifts from the Church Board, as a token of gratitude for their effort, dedication, and love for this parish.
