Holy Hierarchical Liturgy in Windsor

Holy Hierarchical Liturgy in Windsor

On the third Sunday after Pentecost, June 21, 2026, His Eminence Metropolitan of Canada Mitrofan presided over the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy at the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary Church in Windsor (Windsor Gracanica). The concelebrants were the parish Fr. Milorad Delic, Fr. Vlatko Golic (Saint Dimitrije Church in Windsor), Fr. Marko Dimic (Saint Petka Church in Lakeshore), Fr. Brian Payne (Holy Apostles Peter and Paul Church in Sudbury), diocesan deacon Petar Marjanovic, and deacon Srdjan Miskovic (Orthodox Church in America). Metropolitan Mitrofan was accompanied by the Vice President of the Diocesan Administrative Board Zeljko Colakovic, the Secretary of the Diocesan Administrative Board Sister Paraskeva (Lepovic), and member of the Diocesan Administrative Board Goran Todorovic. A special joy was represented by the multitude of believers, and especially a large number of children, who approached the Holy Sacrament of Communion, receiving the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This liturgical gathering was the crowning achievement of His Eminence's three-day visit to the city of Windsor, during which the Bishop visited the local Serbian Heritage Museum at the Serbian Centre and attended the Carousel of Nations festival, sharing the joy of meeting with the faithful and witnessing the presence of our Holy Church in the life of the wider community.

In an atmosphere of prayerful joy, gratitude, and conciliar unity, this Sunday remains inscribed as a day of spiritual strengthening of our parish community, but also as a testimony that the Church is alive when the people of God gather around their Bishop, clergy, and the Holy Chalice, glorifying the One Lord in faith, love, and hope.
