Kitchener Parishes Celebrate Feast Day

On Sunday, when the Serbian Orthodox Church celebrates the great feast of Pentecost, the Holy Trinity Church in Kitchener prayerfully celebrated its temple Slava (feast day).
The Holy Liturgy, the procession and the evening service with kneeling prayers were served by the local parish priests, Fr. Goran Gojkovic and Fr. Jovan Marjanac, with the Saint Romanos the Melodist choir singing under the direction of Biljana Vazic.
The priests also blessed the Slava gifts and offered prayers for the health and blessings of all parishioners and this year's godparents, Dr. Srdjan and Aleksandra Petrusic, and their families.
The hardworking sisters of the Circle of Serbian Sisters prepared an extraordinary Slava lunch and the church choir, and the Stevan Sindjelic folklore group brightened up the gathering. The highlight of the agape was certainly the premiere performance of the newly established parish children's choir under the leadership of Biljana and Ana Santrac.
May the Lord grant a long, peaceful, and blessed life to all the parishioners of Kitchener. Happy Slava!
