Velika Gospojina Circle of Serbian Sisters Celebrates Slava in Sherbrooke
On August 30, 2026, the Velika Gospojina Circle of Serbian Sisters at the Saint Simeon the Myrrh-Bearer Church in Sherbrooke celebrated its Slava (patronal feast). This year's godparents of the celebration, Miodrag and Spomenka Doslo, lovingly prepared a festive Slava luncheon with the prayerful presence of a large number of parishioners from Montreal and Sherbrooke who graced this liturgical gathering with their presence. We pray to the Most Holy Theotokos, whose memory of the Dormition our sisters celebrate, to strengthen them in their work. The responsible parish priest of the Sherbrooke parish, Protopresbyter Djordje Cimesa, calls on all parishioners who are not members of the Circle of Serbian Sisters to get involved and to improve the work of both the Circle and this parish with their involvement.
