The Resurrection of the Lord Celebrated in Milton
On the bright and joyful days of the holiday of holidays — the Resurrection of the Lord — the Holy Transfiguration Monastery in Milton was filled on April 12, 2026 with prayerful and victorious joy that echoes through the centuries: Christ is Risen!
The Holy Hierarchical Liturgy was presided over by His Eminence Archbishop of Toronto and Metropolitan of Canada Dr. Mitrofan, with the concelebration of the clergy and the prayerful participation of the faithful who gathered from all sides to celebrate together the victory of life over death.
The solemn service was imbued with a deep sense of unity and living faith. The singing of Paschal hymns, the light of candles in the hands of the faithful, and the joyful greetings exchanged — all testified to the truth that the Church constantly proclaims: that Christ, with His Resurrection, opened the way to eternal life.
After the Divine Liturgy, the faithful continued to gather in a spirit of love and community, sharing festive joy, a meal, and a fraternal word. This encounter was not just a human gathering, but an extension of the Eucharistic communion, in which the very essence of the Church is recognized — to be one in Christ.
May the joy of the Resurrection, which filled the sanctuary in Milton, remain in the hearts of all of us as a living force that strengthens, guides, and transforms us.
Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen!
