Slava of Saint Sava Celebrated in Mississauga

The church community at the All Serbian Saints Church in Mississauga celebrated the student and children's Slava of Saint Sava yesterday. The godparents of the Slava were Momcilo and Nada Ciganovic with their daughter Nevena. Milkica Arsenov took on the godparentship for the following year.

The Slava kolach and wheat were blessed by Fr. Milojko Dimitric, and the Saint Sava church choir, conducted by Ivana Lukic, responded. The Slava was also attended by the Consul General of the Republic of Serbia Dejan Erakovic, as well as numerous parishioners and parents. The cultural and artistic program was hosted by Draga Dragasevic, and the attendees were greeted by Fr. Dejan Obradovic with an appropriate speech.

Members of the Queen Alexandra Circle of Serbian Sisters prepared a Slava luncheon. Members of the Saint Sava Oplenac Folklore Ensemble performed a rich program while the children delighted everyone present with their recitations. Technical support was provided by Nikola Bozovic.

We thank everyone for their attendance, support and donations. May the blessing and name of Saint Sava be celebrated for many years to come! Amen.
