The Sacrament of Holy Unction in Hamilton
At the Saint Nicholas Church in Hamilton (Barton Street), on Holy Wednesday of Holy Week, the Holy Sacrament of Unction was solemnly celebrated, by which the faithful, through prayer and anointing with consecrated oil, are strengthened for the healing of soul and body, as well as for the forgiveness of sins and all ailments.
The Holy Sacrament of Unction was served by: parish priest Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Vojislav Pavlovic, as well as Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Dragomir Ninkovic and Protopresbyter Djuro Samac from the Saint Nicholas Cathedral Church in Hamilton on Nash Road.
After the reading of the Holy Gospel, the offering of prayers, and the anointing of the faithful with consecrated oil, the Hamilton priests thanked the congregation for joining in prayer and wished that the grace of this Holy Sacrament continue to strengthen and uplift us all.
